Sin duda uno de los grandes escritores de espionaje de la historia, el británico Len Deighton ha muerto el 15 de marzo pasado a la edad de 97 años. Un genio en la descripción de situaciones y personajes, sin embargo siempre dejaba encendido el radar para la detección de un nuevo misterio.

Varias de ellas fueron llevadas al cine y la televisión. El libro de cuentos Declarations of War fue editado en 1971.
